New to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.?

I am getting Modern Warfare 2 soon, but I haven't played since COD3. What type of guns are their and what is the best one? I know about the Sniper, Kill Streaks, Chopper Gunner ( Looked it up on youtube ). Thanks.
