Airbag light on 2006 Ford Taurus is on!?

I was parked in a loose gravel area and when I pulled away it took a moment for my tires to grab. Immediately after my airbag light started blinking and remains lit. I think I may have gotten something in the sensors? I don't have the money to pay to take it to a garage to be looked at. Can anyone tel me where to find the sensors on a 2006 Ford Taurus or make any suggestions on how I might fix this on my own? I've already disconnected the battery hoping to reset the light.
